Born from the same Brazilian passion that produced drivers such as Ayrton Senna, Rubens Barrichello, Felipe Massa, Nelson Piquet and Emerson Fittipaldi, Lobini was conceived by Jose Orlando Lobo - corporate lawyer and amateur racing driver - and developed by the up and coming designer and engineer, Fabio Birolini, with some assistance from Graham Holmes and Dave Minter - former Chief Engineer at Lotus and Ascari.
